The results of recent studies have shown that regular consumption of avocado gave our body numerous health benefits.

This delicious fruit increases levels of good cholesterol and reduces the risk of metabolic syndrome.

It is a common name for a group of risk factors that occur when you simultaneously increase the risk of developing coronary artery disease, stroke and diabetes type 2.


Unlike the rest of the fruits, avocado contains monounsaturated fatty acids, which are beneficial for the heart, as that increases the level of good cholesterol (HDL).

Avocados also contain high amounts of potassium, which reduces blood pressure.

According to American National ,Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, one of the best ways to control high blood pressure is to get enough potassium. Only half an avocado contains 487 milligrams of potassium, which is more than a banana.

The benefits of consuming this fruit include other nutrients like: proteins, vitamins A, B, C, D, E and K, as well as many phytonutrients for healthy body.

One of them is beta-carotene which helps to regenerate skin and nourishes the hair.

Lutein is a nutrient that is important for eye health and reduces the risk of macular degeneration which is the main cause of blindness in people older than 60 years.

Besides being a rich source of nutrients, avocado is a great ally in the fight against excess weight. No matter which form you consume it, contributes to a feeling of fullness and can help to control hunger.
