Here’s the Right Way to Use Each Type of Onion

Onions are a type of vegetable that are extremely versatile and can be used for almost anything. They have amazing medicinal properties too and other than for cooking and culinary delights they can be used for many other natural remedies and treatments that can really help with many ailments and health issues

Onions have a very special and unique characteristics, as well as smell and taste. That is probably the main reason why many dishes cannot be done and cooked well without onions bulbs. These vegetables can provide unique health benefits and a delicious smell and taste to many of your favorite dishes.

However, if you keep onions for too long they may not go completely bad but some of the benefits and taste units may go bad and even if you can use them you cannot get all you can from them.

The trick is to keep these vegetables safe and dry and away from too much sunlight and that is how they will stay fresh for much longer. You should not keep the onions refrigerated but only in a cool and dry place. Take a paper bag and gouge a couple of holes in it. After that place the onions inside it and seal the paper bag with a paper clip.

With this technique, your onions will stay fresh and good for much longer or up till 2 months.

Onion Skins

Onions skins and the skin of many fruits and vegetables is mostly considered useless and it is not that commonly used in many dishes. Although it may seem that way, the skin of the onion can help with certain things.

The brown color of the skin and the scent can provide a very good soup stock and base. You can also use onion skins as a 5% portion of the flour and that will make an amazing additive to any bread.

Onion skins can also reduce cramps and the only thing you need to do is boil them in water for 20 minutes and strain the liquid. Drink this water before going to bed and the appearance of the cramps will reduce.
