You can mix ½ teaspoon of garlic juice into a glass of water and drink the concoction every morning before breakfast. You can also take garlic in its raw state.

Ginger contains gingerol, a compound that can lower cholesterol levels and also serves as an antioxidant agent preventing damage to blood vessels. Add 1 tablespoon of grated ginger in a glass of hot water and after 10 minutes strain and drink. Drink every morning before breakfast.
