We already know that milk can build bone and a campaign called “Got Milk” has been encouraging consumers to drink more milk. This campaign was launched in 1993 when the sale of milk was decreasing. Most dairy products on the market are pasteurized milk.

Pasteurization is a heating process with the aim of destroying a variety of bacteria in the milk. In this process each particle liquid is heated to a certain temperature and cooled rapidly. The problem comes when the beneficial bacteria are killed and various nutrients and enzymes are also missing.

Enzymes contained in milk function to allow your body to absorb calcium and phosphorus from milk. Pasteurization has made countries with high dairy consumption also have the high rates of osteoporosis.

Not only pasteurization, rBGH, a synthetic hormone for bovine growth also carries some health risks, one of which is the risk of tumor. The cows given a variety of artificial hormones tend to develop pus and when the pasteurization process comes then the germs can be added to dairy products.

We must realize that the human body needs to maintain homeostasis and pasteurized milk products are acid disturbing the pH level required to maintain homeostasis.

So instead of increasing bone strength, by consuming the pasteurized milk products on a regular basis we will be thinning our bones. You may need to take milk from farmers directly.
