University of Medical Sciences in Iran conveyed a research where two groups are formed, each consisting of forty four women who have gained weight and have problems.
Females in both groups were advised to eat healthy meals with less than 500 calories every day for three months.
Group one were the women consuming three grams of powdered cumin in combination with hundred and forty grams of yogurt every day. Group two were the women consuming the same amount of yogurt but without the powdered cumin.
When the three months passed the results were amazing since the women consuming yogurt with cumin lost fourteen pounds compared with the other group which take only plain yogurt.
The research showed excellent results on the participants which, read in percentage, the first group lost 14.64 percent excess fat where the second group lost only 4.91 percent of fat.
The reason for this fast dropping of weight with only one spice is the fact that it consists of filosterole (chemical plant) which can prevent retention of cholesterol in your body. It is believed that this is why cumin can accelerate the metabolic process in our bodies.
