Home Remedies for Heartburn

Heartburn is something that many have experienced. It can be from eating spicy or hot foods, having overeaten, alcohol consumption, smoking, pregnancy, or some health condition.

There are many home remedies that will treat heartburn, some of which are better than store bought remedies. Consider trying baking soda in a glass of water. Combine one glass of water with a teaspoon of baking soda.

Drink the entire cup down. This process may be repeated if heartburn does not go away but it should not be used more than 3 times in a span of 24 hours.If you want to try to eliminate before it even becomes an issue, after a meal, pop a piece of gum in the mouth. Select a sugar free variety and chew for half an hour.

Apple cider vinegar water can be drank to eliminate heartburn. Using 6 ounces of water, add in 1 tablespoon of the raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar. This method is very effective if one suffers from heartburn quite a bit. It can be drank before meals for best results.

Avoid wearing tight fitting clothing. Tight fitting clothing can make heartburn worse as there is extra pressure put on the lower esophageal sphincter.

Eating a spoonful of mustard can help heartburn go away. Yellow mustard taken straight will neutralize acid. It can be taken if you suspect you will have heartburn or right as the symptoms come on.

Almonds are a great remedy for heartburn. Simply eat 4 or 5 almonds to neutralize heartburn. Eat this many after every meal and snack. Almonds can be a trigger of heartburn for some people, so keep tabs on this.

Aloe juice is a method that several have used successfully. Simply drink one half a cup of aloe Vera juice before meals to help reduce inflammation.
