Radish – Sufficient dose of health

This vegetable is one of the first harbinger of spring. In addition to the many vitamins and minerals, has a specific taste and is very healthy.

It is believed that the radish originated from South Asia, and as an ancient cultural plant, cultivated in China for more than 3,000 years.

This popular spring vegetable is low in calories.


Energy value is small radish – 100 g is 16 kcal / 67 kJ.

About 12 radishes of medium size provides adequate amounts of potassium, folate and dietary fiber, and are an excellent source of vitamin C, which helps in the formation of collagen, maintains healthy gums, accelerates wound healing, enhances the immune system, participates in synthesis of neurotransmitters in the brain.

Furthermore, a powerful antioxidant which helps at removing carcinogenic free radicals from the body.


Radish is a good source of vitamin C and antioxidants and here are all the advantages of the use of this plant:

Black Radish

Folk medicine usually recommends black radish as a remedy for liver and gallbladder .

That means it is well known that the radish encourages the production of bile, increases the flow of the gallbladder, rinse and decompose piled stones in the gallbladder.

Black radish also has an antibacterial effect, improves the appetite, and is used as a remedy for rheumatism , bronchitis and cough .

The diet of the black radish is most often used as a salad and to preserve their medicinal properties should not be even slightly salted .


For the treatment of bile diseases juice of black radish:

It’s prepared so that the previously peeled off radish is grinded, than leave it to rest for a bit and then squeeze it.

You should drink about 3 oz of juice a day, divided into three doses, morning, noon and evening. After 5 days make a break of three days, than continue .

For achieving full recovery when it comes to breaking stones in the bile it usually requires a longer time.


People who have kidney problems and those with peptic or duodenum ulcers are not supposed to use the juice of black radish .
