Things That Happen When You Stop Eating Sugar

Sugar is not necessarily evil by any means. It is found naturally in many foods, such as milk and fruits.But many are adding extra sugar to the diet, which is not necessary. Sugar is something that we can live without in our diets. Sure, we all like the occasional sugary snack, however, these should only be enjoyed from time to time. One thing that is for certain is that when an individual stops eating sugar, they will notice amazing things happening to the body.

An individual that cuts sugar out of their diet will notice they will have more energy. When we are tired, we often reach for the sugary drinks, such as soda, to get us up and moving. But when we drink or eat that sugar, it is actually blocking the body’s natural energy stores. When we eliminate sugar from our diets, we are ensuring there will be on up and downs with our blood sugars, so afternoon crashes will become non-existent.
When we eat sugar, it ensures us that we will crave more and more sugar. And more than likely, individuals are getting this sugar in foods that have been highly processed, as well as having unwanted or undesirable ingredients. Fruit is the exception here, which is nearly all sugar. When we go on a sugar free diet, or one that is eliminating lots of the sugars, we are able to cut calories as well, which means an individuals weight will stabilize.

When we eliminate or cut back in sugar, our intestines and colon will work how they were designed to work. They were made to process lots of fiber with little amounts of tough to digest foods. When an individual stops with the sugar, a person may use the restroom more, which means that a normal routine will start to take place.

When an individual stops with sugar, they will crave sugar less and less. After the body is ridden of sugar, an individual will slowly loose the desire to have any. Fruits will remain to taste sweet, but other sweets may seem too sweet.
The skin will also look healthier once a person has eliminated sugar from the diet. The skin will glow from the inside out.

If an individual wants to stop eating sugar, it is not best to do it cold turkey. No more than 5% of the daily calories should come from sugar. This number was recently changed, down from 10%. It is shocking to know that half of all Americans eat one half pound of sugar each and every day. This means they consume 180 pounds of the sweet stuff every year.
What we can do is to start small, looking at what we are eating and drinking each day. Scale back at first on the sugary drinks, and then scale back even more the next week. Soon, emit sugar laden foods from the diet. Over time the body will start adjusting to these ways. Remember that it takes three weeks for the body to adjust to a new routine. There may be days when you get out of line, but don’t beat yourself up. Just get back on track and keep trudging ahead.
