Applying castor oil on the hair looks pretty easy, but there are some things you need to do in order to get more effective application:

Castor oil
• Coconut oil
• Essential oils
• Hot water
• Bowls
• Jar
• Shower cap

Basically, there are no specific rules regarding the proportion of castor oil should be used but as information, the oil needs to be diluted (it is highly viscous) and you can use coconut oil. You may also need to add a few drops of essential oils to improve oil aroma.

Mix castor oil with coconut and essential oils, you can 3 tablespoons of castor oil with 1 tablespoon of oil and add a few drops of essential oil. You can use mint oil, rosemary oil or tea tree oil. Mix them in a jar.

Fill a bowl (the big one) with hot water and insert the jar into the bowl so that the water will heat up the contents of the jar (the mixture). After the mixture gets hot, then pour it into a small bowl and you can immediately apply to your hair (including eyebrows and eyelashes).

Massage your head gently and make sure the oil soaks into your scalp perfectly. You are then advised to cover your head with a shower cap that will be covered again with a towel. Wait up to 3 hours before cleaning your hair. Perform this therapy twice a week.
